Crazy Numbers With Volume

Hit up a new place for me today with Ted/Volume. Started early at 5:30 Am at a lake in Lincoln. Lots of action and over 30 plus bass before we called it a day.
I caught a mutant fish that measured 21 1/2 inches but only weighed 3 lbs 5 oz. Clearly something wrong with the fish. Great morning out catching Larrys. Thank God Ted dont mind getting his feet wet or we would never of been able to launch a 4 ft wide boat through a 3 foot wide opening. :)
(volume4130 edits: definitely worth wet/stinky, swamp water shoes...thats why you bring sandals for the drive home! and yes...watch out for the mutant skinny fish! good day today!) |

I texted Roger last night and told him "if you have horny toads bring them" He had some and turned out I had a few too. Hit the water at 7 am and within the frst half hour hooked into my first fish of the day. I let the toad sink and my line took off, set the hook and knew right away it was a decent fish. Did not give this fish one second to get the upper hand. I horsed him in right to Rogers hand. Good start a half hour into the Tourney. 6 lb 2 oz 24 inches. Thats all she wrote for me. Pocket caught 3 fish and gave us a total of 4. we would not even of placed if he did not catch those 3 fish. I felt we needed a 20 lb bag before I could be sure we may win. With the Landlords out there you never know what can happen. We came in second and I'm ok with that. Congrats to the Hawg Hunters, Zach and Dave, they had a nice bag and caught there limit.

Hit Horn pond last night with Ted/Volume. Since he cried last time about having to sit in the back of the boat, I decided to let him catch more fish than me. :) Fishing is tough with the falling water and heat. No complaints, we made our limit and then some. |

Hit the upper Mystics with Pocketfisherman. Pretty good day with 4 fish just under 3 lbs. About 16 bass overall.
I lost a few nice bass in some thick pads, these pads were vicious today. I lost a beast that took me into the pads and I did all in my power to keep this sucker on but she got off. This thing was a monster. I've caught several 6 pounders and many 5 pounders but this thing was massive. This will haunt me for awhile:( |

Hit up a local spot Thursday morning with Volume. We caught about 17 Bass between us. Lots of 2 pounders. Not a bad way to start the day before work. |

went out to a local spot, caught some small bass. That was fun but even better some hot half naked girls decided to dive off the rocks right by where I was fishing. I felt it was my duty to keep an eye on them, you know for safety purposes only. |

Hey Karl,
I wanted to apoligize for the one star- I rated a 5 star obviously because the things a pig and when I went to submit it, the cursor must have dragged the star section. My Bad- Again obviously an unbelievable trip and Lunker- 5 stars the whole way. I wish I could go back and fix it but not sure how to.

Thanks and yeah I've checked it a few times. The problem with some of it is that a few places do not list carp that have them, and others the info is old. Some places for instance had carp in the 90's but due to factors many of the populations died out leaving few to none left in those waterways.
That is why I figure getting information from people who have first hand experience can be good, and give me points to start checking myself. Then with our monthly newsletter we can incorporate a "New Spot" check each month and report the findings.
I have nothing against Ma wildlife they do great work in my opinion...but they will be the first to tell you that many of their survey's have been done long ago. The last time the got a shock boat in Blackstone canal , for instance, was something like 10 years ago, and they got their truck stuck when unloading the boat heh. |

Well I dont know if its good or not, but Ive had decent luck. Nothing bigger than 2lbs for a Smallie. Caught bunch of smaller ones too. Im gonna keep trying though, I have a feeling there are more big ones in there. |
